It is also known as Johnson screen cylinder, wedge wire screen, wound screen, or wire-wrapped screen.

2: 304 SSContinuous Slot Wedge Water Wire Screenis also known as Groundwater Well Screen or Drum Filter. It is manufactured with V-shaped profile wire spirally wound around a cage of longitudinal support rods.
Each intersecting point of these wires is fusion welded.
The pitch of the winding determines the spacing between adjacent wire turns.
This spacing allows water to pass through. The entire manufacturing process is completed on fully computerized machines.
